One server. One workshop.
Use a dedicated Debian 12 or Ubuntu 24.04 Linux server with Docker Engine installed and running. Unzip the complete download and read README.md before running the installer.

sudo bash install.sh craftsyntax.uk https://craftsyntax.ukThe installer installs Nginx and Python, builds the compiler image, copies the site to /opt/craftsyntax, and configures a systemd service. TeX Live is a large build: allow several gigabytes of disk space and time for the initial download.
Point your DNS A record at your server. For HTTPS, supply a working certificate or run Certbot as described in the included README. HTTPS is required before public use. The installer initially serves HTTP and verifies the supplied origin when compiling.
Existing Nginx sites stay in place. Review the generated configuration before enabling this on a server already hosting other sites. The service account can run Docker, which gives it root-equivalent privileges on this single host.
